The food was excellent but they seemed to be short staffed and the dinner service was a bit slow. Breakfast choice was good and service better, though we only saw 5 other guests.
Stunning location, with outdoor furniture on the patio overlooking the Loch
Overall the hotel was tired looking, but the staff worked hard and were welcoming and friendly.
Earlier reviews had criticised the service in the dining room which was not our experience, however a new chef started on our last day and breakfast was exceptionally slow, which maybe did not bode well!
If you like to stay in a property that has charm and history then this is for you.....wonderful views across Campbelltown harbour and countryside. Excellent service friendly staff. Delicious food and comfort. Highly recommend.
Nice little hotel a 10 minute walk from Campbeltown center. Excellent selection of breakfasts. Extensive dinner menu. Food quality very good. Very helpful staff. My room was very comfortable. A couple of minor niggles, but nothing to prevent me from booking there again, as follows: a) could use a drying room for golfers/hikers who get caught in the rain; we were soaked one day and drying out our golf gear overnight was a challenge, b) dinner service was very slow indeed on the two nights we ate there; food was very good and reasonably priced though, c) two of the rooms require walking outside the hotel to get to them; at night or first thing in the morning the prospect of walking through rain/cold/wind to go eat is not alluring. One thing to be aware of is that the downstairs bedroom with a view of the loch really just has a partial view, blocked by 3 large trees and seen from two very narrow windows.
I stayed on night with friends. The inn was very nice in a quiet spot. The staff and amenities were all great and enjoyed dinner in the restaurant. I would highly recommend.

The room was absolutely spotless and fantastic. View the staff were amazing very helpful and courteous also quite knowledgeable about the area the food and their restaurant is to die for 10 out of 10 will definitely be recommending to all friends and family I’m definitely will be back
I stayed two nights in the single room which was to the rear of the property. Despite being quite small, it was adequate for my needs as all I did was sleep there. The hotel is within walking distance of the town which was perfect. Highlights were definitely the view over the bay, the shower in my room - hot and powerful - and the breakfast was probably the best I’ve had in a very long time. There was everything you could want and plenty of it. As it was the MOKrun weekend I paid more than I would normally for a hotel, but would I stay here again? Definitely.
Absolutely loved this place , so much history behind the house .. lovely building , fabulous room huge 4 poster bed .. and worth every penny ..

Arrived on a work trip on Halloween and the hotel was superbly decorated. Staff were scary (in a friendly halloween way 🙂). Food was excellent, views from dining room great.
Great service and tasty breakfast. We arrived late at night around 11 p.m. while driving through, and although no one was at the front desk, we called the number and someone came quickly to check us in. Very nice experience overall.
The view was gorgeous. The room (Room 5) was lovely. I enjoyed the deep bathtub. The location is great. A visit to the Bay os Saddell is highly recommended
VIEWS TO DIE FOR..
Excellent stay, clean, quaint, staff good, Breakfast and dinner was excellent, was disappointed with my Irish coffee, but thats just me.
