In Cooke for a 4 day sled trip. For our purpose everything was just fine. Food was pretty good. Staff was helpful enough. Had this been a vacation I would say the place is extremely dated, the rooms are small, the restaurant is only open in 2-3 hour increments, there is no vending or continental ...

If you want to get to Lamar Valley early in the morning it's where you need to be. In winter just realize it's the snowmobile launching point for that trail riding. So lots of snowmobiles revving in the morning and evening.
We are wolf lovers and believe their presence is natural and key to restore balance. Cooke City has many wolf ‘haters’ in their community. They kill the wolves illegally, as well as legally. One can find a wolf status list online of businesses.

Very scenic western town - very small, but people all seemed very nice and happy.
