The owners are lovely and helpful in person and replied to our messages very quickly before we came. The accommodation is very clean and really cosy, dog friendly being a plus. Two negatives were the dog smell in the lounge and poor state of plants in pots. While the dog smell is probably unavoidable as dogs are allowed, the dead plants brought about a depressing impression. Being a gardener, I tried to look after the remaining plants and had to transplant one huge heuchera plants that was literally hanging in the air as its pot was...

"staying at this hotel really surprised me it was one we chose because our client had it on their agency list It was a little magical mystery tour through a housing estate and an industrial estate The hotel itself is a little dated, however, cleanliness, comfort, courteous staff and home cooked food with a little bar to boot made this one of the nicest stays away with work. Very comfortable bed and spotless room, lovely dinner and awesome breakfast Thank you for surprising me - if we are ever in Chard again needing an overnight stay i would not hesitate to book The Lord Leaze again - well done to all that make this a lovely hotel"
