「This was my 4th stay at Carl's Unique Inn. The property is a convenient place to overnight when traveling. The property is generally clean. The staff is friendly and accommodating. My main challenge has been the stairs which you have to climb up and down with your bags upon arrival and when leaving. The rooms are on the second floor. There is no elevator. It would be nice to have someone who can help guests with bags upon arrival and when departing. Otherwise, you can certainly consider this...

「Room was clean, didn't realize all the rooms are suites, perfect view of the bay every morning. Food at all four restaurants excellent. Staff was amazing especially each time I needed a cab.」

「Expedia showed gorgeous water views- the room was NOT as described or pictured! In the back with just a very partial view mostly from the bathroom. Amenities were sparse and basic- no paper towels,no blanket, no dryer, etc. Will be contacting Expedia when I return home-did not have option to understand this when booked- 」

A plastic spoon from a previous guest was on the floor in the room, I discovered a large dead cockroach under the sink, those large plaid curtains were so ugly and wrinkled. The child-like, small, painted furniture didn't help either. I was speechless. The toilet may have been leaking as well. There was a faint urine smell, and the grout around the toilet base appeared damp. Patio had old furniture and wasn't maintained. It was so...

「I really loved my stay here and I mean it. Quaint and small, great location if you are seeking peace and quiet, but still enough activity. Everyone who worked there is so kind and helpful, food was delicious and parking lot is only a 2 minute walk away, beach a lovely 5 min stroll and just up the hill there is a nice place to hike. Anse Marcel was a great spot to land for my first time visiting the island. I rented a car though. Thanks again! 」

「The ladies at the activity desk and the staff at the restaurant are very friendly and helpful. The property is showing signs of aging, and needs some maintenance and repairs. Our specific unit needs some upgrades and replacements (mattress, chairs, faucets, etc...). The lighthouse as a whole is great, as there is a more private gym and pool facility. 「Our room was a Deluxe room with Ocean View which faced the ocean with a view of the pool side. Loved this as could also hear the music from outside. Very clean and spacious. The staff were so friendly and approachable. At the beach area the staff/waiter/waitress were amazing, very upbeat and created an incredible happy, relaxing atmosphere. One of the staff noticed sun burn on my granddaughter and said he will get the "doctor" lol and brought another waiter whose name I dont recall but started...

「This was the best hotel stay we have ever experienced. Upon arrival we were greeted with the friendliest reception staff. The entire week that was carried through with every staff member we encountered. Our room was very clean and daily housekeeping kept it sparkling all week. The grounds are gorgeous and the walk through the gardens to the beach took my breath every time. We are already planning our return trip next year. 」
