Clean room in a great location and very courteous staff
As a female solo traveler the Belfry was a great place to stay. I felt completely comfortable being there. It is also a great central location in which to explore Bellingen, without being slap bang in the middle of the main street. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
If you are looking for convenience, friendliness value for money location etc. can't ignore this place.
Down to earth, unpretentious and located on a very quiet spot in middle of town.
It will surely become my stopover place on my way north and back to sydne.
We loved our stay here, it was only a quick overnight one but we will definitely be back. We arrived later than planned so the night manager checked us in, she was so warm and friendly and made us feel welcome straight away. The facilities are fantastic and everything was cleaned to perfection. The view first thing in the morning is just beautiful! We greatly enjoyed our stay in this lovely place and can't wait to come back!
We had a lovely stay at the Belfry guest house! We stayed in a twin room for 3 nights. The room itself was nothing special (justified by the price) however, it was clean and comfortable which is all we needed. The house had nice amenities and shared spaces. Staff were all fantastic. Overall very pleased with our stay. Thanks!
Belfry Guest House offers a bit of old world charm, nestled amongst the trees, offering great views over the little valley below - great atmosphere.
Staff service was welcoming, helpful, and made guests feel comfortable in their stay - great assistance.
Great options to cook your own food in the kitchen or dine out in one of the many locations in Belligen -I recomend the Royal Hotel for slow cooked beef cheek, served on mash with gravy and bens, delicious.
I will be back to visit the National Parks and Waterfalls on the Waterfall Way/Highway.
Highly recommend a stay at the Belfry for a quiet retreat, on your travels.
I’ve given five stars on everything. I simply couldn’t fold anything with my stay. (Not that I’m looking for fold). The people who were, there were absolutely delightful, friendly, and helpful.
It’s no wonder such a beautiful guesthouse would attract good people like that.
I needed a little timeout, and this was the perfect stopover and gave me the respite I needed. The town itself is lovely, and it’s walking distance from all the restaurants.
Nice budget accommodation. There is a large communal kitchen, and nice outdoor seating. They keep the kitchen clean, but at any given time, it depends on the hygiene practices of fellow guests. The beds are comfortable. The staff is friendly, but not always present during the day. The shared bathroom is unisex, with multiple showers and toilets. The property is a bit hard to find, as there is only a small sign on the ground next to the building. It's located only one street over from the main street through town.

Great for a quick trip
The property is excellently centrally located. Parking is available off and on street. It’s relatively quiet, shower water is hot and bathrooms are plentiful. We both prefer a more firm mattress than what was on the bed. Downsides? The room is very cramped with almost no hanging or drawer space - but that’s not a problem if you’re there for a couple of days only and you travel lightly. The overhead fan can’t be used if you’re a light sleeper - it makes a high pitched mosquito like sound, in the background!
The place is peaceful with pastoral views, cattle grazing and horses strolling in the fields.
The Belfry is a beautiful and convenient place to stay, however, it has unfortunately become quite expensive for shared-space accommodation.

Disliked: Amenities
I like my own bathroom so this hippie guest house was really not my style! Quaint and very suitable for young backpackers! More of a backpacker lodge than a guest house!
