Very small hotel, good location but overpriced for the amenities and overall condition of the property. Staff were friendly but room was not tidied during my stay, so I had to clean my own mug to reuse it the following day. Far too many stairs to negotiate for anyone with walking difficulties.

Situated mere steps from Clacton Pier and the beautiful stretch of golden sand, the OYO Pier Hotel couldn’t be better placed. Whether you are looking to indulge in the amusements, take long walks along the promenade, or simply sit and watch the world go by, everything is within easy reach. The convenience of being so close to local attractions, shops, and restaurants makes the hotel an ideal choice for families, couples, and solo travellers alike. The staff at reception welcomed me warmly, checking me in with efficiency and genuine friendliness. My room was as per pictures on hotel website: large, airy, clean and with a small roof terrace. I was particularly impressed by the thoughtful touches: complimentary tea and coffee facilities, a smart TV with a wide array of channels, and speedy, reliable Wi-Fi that kept me connected throughout my stay. The ensuite bathroom was modern, spotlessly clean, and stocked with quality toiletries and fluffy towels, making the morning routine a pleasure. Staying at the OYO Pier Hotel puts you at the centre of Clacton's vibrant social scene. Within moments, you can be trying your luck at the arcade, enjoying thrilling rides on the pier, or sampling ice cream as you stroll along the shore. My time at the OYO Pier Hotel was a joy from start to finish. The combination of a prime location and comfortable room made for an unforgettable experience.

Just wanted a night to visit family in the area. Website says parking which was not actually available. Note that after 3pm you can part on the sea front for 3 hours for free and is not restricted after 6pm so could leave overnight and get another 3 hours at 9am when starts again. Welcome was warm and friendly. Room was very small (Room 9) just bed and tiny bathroom. As on own having a really small room was not an issue as was clean. The big issue was no blind in room and no privacy and light waking me up early. Would not stay again.

Check in nullo (mi son state lasciate le chiavi e addio) check out peggio (non c'e posto dove lasciare le chiavi, tutto spento e chiuso.. pulizia nulla ( camera pulita 1 volta in 2 settimane) porte e pareti spesse come un foglio di carta, porta del bagno completamente imbarcata e non si chiude, finestra con serratura rotta che non si chiude.. camera davvero piccola!

Took my partner for what was meant to be a relaxing night away. Paid 114 for a bridal suite but left about 10.30pm and went home stating i would appreciate a full refund as the noise was unbelievably loud leaving us unable to sleep. On checking in we were ahown to a room to be then told may not be the correct one. After taking our things back to the car we was called 30 mins later saying it was in fact the right room. A complete nightmare from start to finish...although staff were friendly!
