Not a looker, but very enjoyable experience

When arriving, this hotel doesn’t look like much from the outside. However, the lobby area, pool area, breakfast area and rooms were well maintained and clean. The service we received was amazing. We booked this hotel for a one night trip to Cincinnati and the hotel accommodated our group of six very well. We spent the evening playing in the pool. The pool atrium was warm and clean. The pool water was warm and had jets running continuously filtering more warm water making the experience very enjoyable. The beds were firm, pillows soft, and the AC was strong and cold. Overall, first impression wasn’t great, but I am very pleased we gave the hotel the benefit of the doubt.

Ok stay, poor area

The area felt a bit sketchy. Hotel was older, very big with few guests. Lobby & dinning area was hot as if AC wasn't being used. Its pet friendly, thats the reason i chose it...but i won't stay there again. As a single female, i didn't feel real safe going outside after dark.

Hotel was definitely a little run down and not as updated. The key cards for the rooms are a little iffy. The room was clean and ready for us which is the main part of the stay. The pool was nice can definitely tell the hotel used to be very nice, does look like the pictures with how everything is laid out just more dingy and ran down than it looks in the pictures. For the price of 100$ overall was an okay place to stay would possibly stay again.

The hotel at one time was probably very nice. The young man working was very accommodating and provided us with a mini fridge. The room was ok, bed was comfortable, bathroom needs work. The pool was terrible. Breakfast was awful. Property has gone down and needs updating. I am sure at one time it was great, but not now. I would not stay again until major updates are done. Also, one of the rooms on hotels.com does not even exist at the hotel.

Plenty of things nearby including a gas station and Bob Evans right near the parking lot. I read a lot of horrible reviews and considered canceling last minute, so I will try to address the things I read. Yes, the pool has weird hours and live plants which make it look in disrepair. Yes, there need to be updates- painted outside and better furniture in common areas. Breakfast in the morning is seriously lacking compared to other places. Our keys were not working, but the manager came in because it was a simple battery change on the door. The room was clean. The staff was always there the moment we came in and they worked really hard to address the needs of every customer at all times. It is a hotel and it serves its purpose- providing a safe, clean stay with easy access to area dining and travel needs. I would stay there again. People who give this hotel very bad reviews are obviously expecting the Waldorf. This is a middle of the road place for middle of the road people.

This old hotel was probably very beautiful back in the day. it is a very large hotel with many, many rooms. However, it appears the maintenance crew is having trouble keeping up with repairs. Most noticeable is the lack of care for the dead plants in the old indoor restaurant and pool area. The pool is still functional; the restaurant is closed; but many of the surrounding indoor plants are dying.

A pleasant stay

My stay overall was good however the air conditioner was very noisy but the room was comfortable except fir someone on the floir kept leaving their dog and it kept whining I felt bad for the dog the continental breakfast was just that the fruit, waffles and cereal but bob evans was right next door to the hotel was was great for dinner I would say overall my stay wss comfortable I would probably book again
