"Excellent location, 3min walk from the river with lots of places to eat and drink. The map on here is wrong - it’s only 1.5 blocks from the river. Very clean, nice staff. Bed was extremely comfortable and room was super quiet. We had a castle view with balcony. Couldn’t fault the room at all. Service was good. Breakfast was decent although sometimes the hot food was barely warm. Would happily stay again. Let them organise a transfer to/from the airport (50€) or book a shuttle - absolutely do not get a taxi outside the airport terminal, there is a huge problem with fake taxis in the city. We followed all the advice, took one that was marked from the correct place and which had a meter… and it still cost 72€ as the meter was dodgy and they applied a 12€ “dodanek” extra. Just let the hotel sort out the transfer or pay for one separately, do not get a taxi from the rank "

"I love this property and would stay there again. It’s a beautiful hotel. Everything is so charming and the beds so comfortable. The breakfast buffet is unique and very nice. The restaurant in the hotel is Asian,I believe, and the food is very good. I love that the market is across one street. And as a senior, I was able to get the Cavalier to come pick me up and take me where I wanted to go in the market. Overall, it was a great experience."

"Quirky in a good way! The room was simply furnished and spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were delicious and the staff were friendly and efficient. It is quite a way from the centre but that is reflected in the price. An Uber is economical. I had an excellent dinner in the restaurant. "

"Quirky place that is clean, comfy, and has a great little rooftop bar/ coffee/ hangout area. Positive youth hostel vibe and helpful staff. The rooms are small (come truly compact) but clean and the crazy ability to change the room lighting color is good fun. Breakfast was pricey, but I’d stay here again. "

"This was a wonderful place to stay! It was about a 40-minute walk to the city center, but there is a bus stop right outside and it was very quick to go downtown that way if you don't have a car. There are hiking paths in the huge park nearby and an excellent restaurant across the street serving Slovenian cuisine. You can walk to a grocery store in 8 minutes and a laundromat in 12 (and the hotel also offers laundry services). The apartment itself is lovely, with everything quite new. Ours had a refrigerator, freezer, and stovetop but no oven or microwave. There was a large and pleasant balcony accessible from two rooms through French doors. And everyone who works there is extremely helpful! It was easy to communicate in English for those of us who don't know much Slovenian. I'd absolutely recommend this if you're looking for a place where you can cook, be independent, and have your own space, while still enjoying some of the comforts of a hotel (fresh towels, trash cans emptied for you)."
