「Do not drive here!! The road conditions are awful. Also very strict rules and nobody to inform you about them until after the rules are broken. Do not recommend staying here unless last resort. Tuktuks will not drive up the driveway!!!」

「What a gem! The location and the staff and the service were wonderful. Our room was breathtaking and comfortable. The food was good, especially the meat at the restaurant below. And the easy access to the lake and boat rides to local towns was super convenient. Everyone treated us like we were special guests, in a comfortable and good way. We’ll be back someday for sure!」

「I was notified less than a week before my stay that the restaurant would not be available except for breakfast due to remodeling. 「Affordable rooms if you are passing through. Easy to walk to the lake and vendors, nice view to the volcanos. Breakfast is so delicious! 😋 The staff were so kind and they let me ckeck in earlier then expected after a long trip. I think they can improve the amenities. There should be a couch in the room instead of chairs and some extra blankets for cold weathers.」

「This hotel is a small property operated and I presume owned by a family. Most of the guests are Spanish speaking as is the family. Although I do not speak Spanish I was able to communicate adequately with my limited Spanish and the staff/family limited English. The property is located about a 10-15 minute walk along a busy main street from the lake. At night the narrow or non-existent sidewalk caused one to be in close contact with the busy traffic when walking h」

「El Porta Hotel es un hotel precioso, excelente ubicación en Antigua, su personal y los servicios que ofrecen son excepcionales! Recomendado 100%!」
