"Great stay at the Residence Inn Eau Claire. The price was fair, the lobby/sitting area was welcoming, and the staff was excellent throughout our stay. Our room was comfortable, clean, and everything felt like good-quality construction and furnishings. The kitchen was especially nice and well equipped. The bed was firm but comfortable, and the shower was outstanding. I really appreciated that the shower controls were on the opposite side from the shower head, so you could turn it on and get the temperature right without standing under the water. The two elevators were also incredibly fast, which I know is a weird thing to mention, but I appreciate it! Both TVs worked well, the lighting was consistent, and everything in the room was in good working order. Breakfast was above average, and one staff member walking around refilling people's coffee and chatting with guests was a really nice touch. Everyone we encountered was friendly. The only minor issue was that our room wasn't ready when we arrived at 3:03 p.m., despite a 3:00 p.m. check-in. We waited about 15–20 minutes. It was a little annoying, but I don't know what caused the delay and assume it was a one-off. Overall, a great stay and we'd definitely stay here again."
