"The carpet throughout was awful and dirty. Our room key did not work to keep the lights on and the shower knob was broken and we could not shower. The manager was very impatient with us when we were the paying customer that didn't have a shower and the power kept going on and off. Other guest were complaining about the slow and rude service as well. The location to the stadium and train was great but stay somewhere else! "

"This pub with rooms was perfect for us as near family. The pub is very large with inside and outside areas. The bedroom & bathroom were cosy but comfortable for a couple of nights."

"I was extremely surprised. This was a hidden gem! I was surprised it was equipped with all amenities; kettle, toaster, microwave, dining seating as well as a 2-ring stove. A really lovely accommodation, we were taken aback. The property owner was lovely, pleasant and friendly, he really took the time to show us where everything was. We will most definitely be staying here again in the future."

"Nice hotel situated on top of a classic British pub. No noise was heard from the pub. Great personal service. Wonderful freshly cooked breakfast. Simple rooms but with all you need including a tea kettle. The building is old but the hotel personnel makes up for this, friendly and attentive. Good location to Forest Gate station with restaurants and stores. "
