My daughters and I - we had the two bedroom family suite which was a pleasant surprise - had a lovely nights stay and supper at chateau le Quesnoy and a delicious breakfast
This property is beautiful! The location is tucked in a wooded area and is amazingly peaceful and quiet. The rooms were very comfortable the breakfast was very good!
The property was quiet and the staff was very friendly. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was excellent. The washrooms were well appointed. The breakfast was very good.
My husband gasped when we were shown the room. That should tell you how beautiful it is.
We felt like we stepped back into time. The owners Anton and Clary were very generous in their efforts to help us have a good trip. Charles, their son, was wonderful to allow us see the Argali collection of art from eastern European artists. (Which we purchased a couple of!) The beautiful yellow lab with her 7 puppies to play with and watch romping around was very enjoyable! A working chateau with deep family roots of hardworking people. We loved our stay!
Chateau de Quesnoy is a beautiful chateau in lovely rustic grounds with peafowl, geese and wild rabbits wandering around, and a carpet of daffodils in the woods.
The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. The suite was very tastefully decorated. I would highly recommend a stay.
Beautiful chateau and location. We had a clean comfortable room.
Unfortunately the hotel did not have a restaurant as stated which meant we had to drive a distance to get food. As we had been driving all day this was quite inconvenient.
Bathroom was well equipped with a bath, but water temperature cool.
Wonderful stay at this chateau. Host and wife very nice and knowledgeable about the area. Both spoke good English. Stayed in a double room with separate second bedroom for our child with interlinking door. Private en-suite. Plenty of space for a four year old to explore the geese on the pond, ponies and wild rabbits. Thank you for a lovely stay.
The pictures of the hotel and rooms made it look like the many Chateau hotels that we have stayed in previously. Not sure why the reality was so very different. Location was convenient though it took quite some searching to our GPS even in a French rental car and we had to finally use our US phone to actually find it. Even then it was down a very long dirt Road. It was confusing because this sign merely said “Chambres d’Hote” and not Chateau Le Quesnoy. We were warmly welcomed and given a list of local restaurants that were very good and a very warm welcome. However the hotel’s family room had only one very small room for my wife and one for our son. Our host made a special effort to get food for a very early breakfast so we could get to CDG in time which we appreciated. However our bedroom had some structure framing the top of the bed and being in the country it was pitch dark, so when my wife went to the bathroom she came back and knocked her head on the wall. The contrast between this Chateau and the one we stayed at outside of Amboiser before was extremely stark: that had a true family room, spacious, modern and very well appointed; this room looked like it had not been updated for 30 years. I do not give many negative reviews but this was the most disappointing of all the hotels in our two week visit.
Absolutely loved staying at this château. We stayed on our way back to England after a holiday on the dordogne and it was the perfect rest break. We stayed in the family suite which had 2 bedrooms with wonderful comfortable beds and a beautiful family bathroom. Antone was the perfect host, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely! Would highly recommend.
This is amazing! Steeped in history, extremely friendly and informative. Nothing was too much trouble. Will certainly return to the beautiful family home.
We loved everything about our stay apart from the fact that we were unaware there would be no evening meal available. We had driven for many hours, were tired, and just needed something to eat. Maybe we missed something on the booking site?
Antoine came to our rescue by organising the local delivery of a couple of pizzas,
The chateau is absolutely beautiful, the family are so hospitable and welcoming.
The bedrooms and en-suite were immaculate with wonderful views of the chateau grounds.
We enjoyed walking around the grounds of the chateau, the boys loved the ponies and donkey and searching for conkers.
We all slept well in the very comfortable beds and enjoyed a superb continental breakfast with a beautiful selection of homemade jams and delicious honey made at Chateau Le Quesnoy.
Highly recommended, if you appreciate properties with character and charm you will thoroughly enjoy staying at Chateau Le Quesnoy!
Thank you to Antoine, Clary and Sons for your wonderful hospitality and travel tips for Paris we would love to return in the future.

I had a three night stay and only stayed two. It was not the property alone. I did not feel welcome after I complained about the cold room the first night.
The hotel is rated 9.6 on Expedia. This is too high. I expected something special. I am used to wonderful hotels and expected this to be on par based on the rating.
Firstly I searched for a hotel near Chantilly. It says it is 12 miles but this must be as the crow flies as it takes 45 minutes and the hotel is not near any shopping or restaurants.
The positives are the driveway up to the property. It is gorgeous. Long, narrow and tree lined. The woman who works there had a warm smile and really wanted to please us. At breakfast there was local honey and home made jam. When you drive up the old Chateau is gorgeous. Parking is convenient and free
The negatives ... we were very cold the first night. I think it got down to 16 C. I slept in a sweater with socks on. My wife just froze in her pajamas.
When I told the owner the next morning he showed me the thermometer was 21. It was 10 am. Of course it was warmer. He did get us a portable heater but it was clear he was done with me.
You could not go into the Chateau part. It is for receptions. So the rooms are in the wing and drab. Breakfast feels like a hallway. There is a big fireplace but no fire. At least for us. The shower had Luke warm water. I am not saying don't stay here but you should know what you are getting. It's a nice 3 star hotel not a Chateau experience
