「Easy and very convenient to my hospital visit」

「Well located to shops, restaurants, bus, and walking distance to the train station, but room was pretty basic. Many eateries in the area which serve when the in house catering is closed (open 10:00-3:00). Building is old, so not surprised by some minor plumbing issues. Staff friendly and helpful.」

「Good hotel and comfortable bed. Had cancel the second night as the hotel was closed. Access for an 81 year old was very difficult. Lots of stairs to manage. The very cold weather made it even more difficult. The manager was very good and helpful. We hope to get a refund for the second night. The location was excellent and the pub was very quirky and quite special. 」

「Although the check out time was 12 and we put "Do not disturb"sign on the door, cleaners started cleaning our room while we went for a walk and removed our bag from the room. My husband was going to eat breakfast in the room after the walk but he was shocked as his bag was missing although he put the room service order through night before. There is no communication between the desk & cleaners and cleaners ignore the Do not disturb sign. 」

「Very attentive staff」

「Arrived at a pitch black compound with no lighting, had to rely on my phone's flashlight. My son FELL DOWN in the darkness. Called the service number for help and was basically told 'other guests managed, so you should too'. Not only is this unsafe, it's unacceptable customer service. Very disappointed and would not recommend.」

「O. K but not exceptional. Had a chipped saucer under my teacup. I would not have thought it difficult to find an jnchippef saucer since I was alone at breakfast! 」

「Room was clean but very tired as was the building in general . Breakfast was plenty but cooked breakfast was not fresh as in sausages were hard to cut and bacon crispy and dry . Have stayed there many times in the past, it’s a lovely building in style but unfortunately hasn’t been lovingly cared for by Greene King brewery. Shower was hot and quite powerful but no shower/bath mat available was a case of do I break anything on my body trying to climb out of bath as so slippery 」

「This property is stunning. It has great access to the small villages nearby and its own property is situated on lots of beautiful acreage. The rooms are lovely, and the breakfast was outstanding. The staff contributed substantially to making this a wonderful day.」

「The room was as described, a bit like a motel arrangement, with rooms on the ground floor based around the courtyard area. Bathroom had a huge walk in shower, the water pressure was brilliant and soaps etc were lovely. Bed was comfy, ironing board, hairdryer and great coffee, tea and cookies. It was clean, spacious and comfy. Where we were disappointed was in the welcome - no information on eating, checking out or even pleasantries.
