We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight as enjoyable as possible. Follow our top tips and you'll be hightailing it through the airport and discovering Triangle before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Traveling on a plane can be a stress-free experience if you've got all the right things. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a fresh change of clothes and something to read. Secondly, make room in your hand luggage for your electronic gadgets, chargers, medications and maybe a comfy neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to take your passport, travel papers and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have a sharp object hiding in one of the zippers of your carry-on luggage. Other banned items include explosive or flammable goods, such as fuel and fireworks, and gels and liquids in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft aren't the place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and go for shoes that are enclosed, flat and easy to slip on and off.
- You're probably aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To lower your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression tights or socks and keep your legs and feet moving.
