Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you prepare well enough. We've put together a list of handy travel tips that will get your Tomono vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The trick to having a worry-free flight experience is to be prepared. First up, the essentials: passport, official ID, bank cards and important medications. Next, take on board items that'll help while away those hours, like some electronic devices or a good read. It's also smart to pack your chargers, a neck pillow and a pair of earplugs. Finally, don't forget to pop in toiletries like a toothbrush, lip balm and a clean set of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your precious Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosols and fuels, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Wear layers and choose shoes that are flat and easy to take on and off.
- Most travelers are aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. To reduce your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression tights or socks and keep your legs and feet moving.
