We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight a stress-free experience. Follow our insider tips and you'll be breezing through the airport and enjoying Puerto Peñasco before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's easy — first, pack in your passport, official ID, cash and medications. Next, you'll want some entertainment to while away the hours. A juicy book and a tablet filled with your favorite movies are some terrific options. If you plan to take a short snooze, a neck pillow and a pair of noise-canceling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, make room for a few toiletry items so you'll hop off the plane feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and fuels, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim here is to feel as comfortable as possible. Pick a pair of slip-on shoes, dress in loose, natural fibers and remember to take a pullover in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clots forming due to poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
