If you're poorly prepared, air travel can be daunting. But don't hit the panic button just yet. Follow these helpful hints and enjoy a pain-free start to your vacation in Nahr Ibrahim. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a cruisy experience if you carry the right gear. First of all you'll need basic toiletries, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a fresh change of clothes and something to read. Secondly, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your mobile phone, a charger, your important medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to take your passport, travel docs and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and strong acids, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your top priority is to feel as comfortable as you can. Choose shoes that are easy to slip on and off, dress in loose, natural-fiber clothing and don't forget to bring a pullover in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect passengers on long-haul flights. Reduce the risks by drinking water, keeping your legs moving and wearing compression socks or tights.
