Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you prepare well enough. We've made a list of handy travel tips that will get your Medicine Lodge escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Traveling on a plane can be easy if you take the right things. Firstly, you'll want a few toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a clean set of clothes and a magazine or two. Next, find room in your hand luggage for your phone, tablet and chargers, your medications and maybe a blow-up neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to take your passport, travel papers and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosols and poisons, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your highest priority when deciding what to wear on your flight. Loose clothing is a sensible option, as are enclosed shoes like sneakers.
- Caused by sustained periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect some passengers during long-haul flights. Reduce the risks by staying hydrated, keeping your legs and feet moving and wearing compression socks to help improve your circulation.
