• You've probably heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. There's plenty you can do to reduce your risk. Wear a pair of compression socks, drink plenty of water and move your legs and feet. Walk around the cabin when possible or perform some simple exercises in your seat.

As seasoned travelers know, the secret is to be well organized before you reach the security gate. That way, you'll be stepping onto that plane to Kikuyu in a flash. Follow these tips and get your trip off to a flying start:
