If you're poorly prepared, air travel can be challenging. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these handy hints and enjoy a worry-free start to your time in Kamajae. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a great experience if you carry the right gear. First of all you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a fresh set of clothes and a good read. Secondly, make room in your hand luggage for your phone, tablet and chargers, any vital medications and maybe a neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and matches, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The narrow aisles of your aircraft are no place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfortable clothing and remember to bring a sweater as it tends to get cool in the cabin on long-haul flights. Closed-toed, flat shoes are also a good choice.
- The condition known as DVT (deep vein thrombosis) is a potential risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation. Walking around the cabin and doing regular leg and foot exercises while seated helps to prevent this happening. Wearing a pair of compression socks also helps reduce the risk.
