No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you prepare well enough. Check out these essential travel tips that will get your Ione vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a stress-free experience if you've got all the right things. First of all you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a spare change of clothes and a good book. Secondly, find room in your hand luggage for your phone and charger, any medications and perhaps a cozy neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your precious Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosols and fireworks, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane are no place for a fashion parade. Layer your clothing and choose shoes that are flat and easy to pull on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Make a point of walking around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
