• Traveling on a plane can be a pleasure if you bring the right things. First of all you'll need basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a clean set of clothes and a good book. Next, find room in your hand luggage for your electronic devices, chargers, any medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow as well. The trick is to be organized before you reach security. That way, you'll be stepping onto that plane to Fidar in the blink of an eye. Follow these tips and get your vacation off to a great start:

• Airport security personnel first need to make sure that you have a valid passport and boarding pass before anything else. Have them in your hand, ready for inspection.
• Next up, both you and your hand luggage will be X-rayed. To make the process quick and painless, remove anything that is likely to set the alarm off. Items like your belt, jacket and earphones will be required to go through the machine.
• Your electronic gadgets like phones and laptops will also need to go on a tray to be scanned. Don't worry, you'll be back online before you know it.
• Can't travel without your favorite perfume or cologne? Not a problem. As long as the volume is no greater than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) and it's stored in a zip-lock bag, it's OK to bring with you in your carry-on bag.
• There's a good chance you'll need to take your shoes off for scanning, so wearing slip-on sneakers is always a wise idea.
• Sharp items like knives are not allowed in the cabin. They'll be seized at security, so put them in your checked luggage.
