We've pulled together all the info you need to make your flight as enjoyable as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be hightailing it through airport security and enjoying Bidadari Island in no time flat. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a great experience if you've got all the right gear. First things first, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare set of clothes and something to read. Secondly, find a spot in your hand luggage for your electronic gadgets, chargers, your medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel papers and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like a pocket knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and fuels, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer your clothing and go for shoes that are flat, enclosed and easy to slip on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-distance flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
