"Jardin Haute Couture is very special. Coco is a wonderful host, and my husband and felt like guests in a beautiful country home. "We’ve just spent a week at Hôtel Au Relais Saint Maurice, and it was a real highlight of our holiday. The hotel is a beautiful old house, full of character and history stretching back hundreds of years. Maurice, the owner, is absolutely dedicated to the place and to his guests – nothing is too much trouble, and his care shows in every detail. Breakfast was a real treat each morning, with homemade food and an incredible range of choices, all served in the peaceful courtyard or the amazing dining room. Everything is spotlessly clean, and the whole atmosphere is warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. During a week when temperatures reached the high thirties, the air conditioning in the rooms was a blessing. It’s a hotel run with real heart and pride, and we couldn’t have asked for a better base for our time in Chinon. Highly recommended."
