Great hotel Dorothy the manager super helpful speaks English and Chinese perfect.All of the staff were very helpful.The buffet breakfast incredible.The buffet weekend lunch or dinner highly recommend.Housekeeping always kept the room neat and clean daily.Great local food around the neighborhood.

Great stay

The Kempinski Changsha is a very good choice for the quality of the service. The staff were all very polite with a lot of attention to details. The bed room was huge with an wonderful bathroom. Breakfast with full choices between western and Asian I'll certainly stay again in this hotel any times I'm traveling to changsha

Komfortables und sauberes Hotel

Wir blieben zwei Nächte in einer Executive Suite im Kempinski Changsha. Die Lage ist etwas abseits des Zentrums im Süden, aber immer noch gut. Es gibt einen Walmart und einige gute Restaurants in Gehdistanz. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet, sauber, Einrichtung im guten Zustand. Teilweise ist es etwas schwierig, mit den Angestellten in Englisch zu kommunizieren, aber der General Manager steht zur Verfügung und nimmt Wünsche auf. Personal ist ausreichend vorhanden, jedoch ist der Trainingsstand nicht bei allen top. Restaurants im Hotel und In-Room-Dining sind nicht empfehlenswert. Insgesamt hatten wir aber einen guten Aufenthalt und würden das Hotel empfehlen.

Pleasant Hotel for good price value

Pleasant stay for good price-value. A few restaurants within walking distance. Don't get a coffee at the lounge in the Kempinski Hotel as this is definitely overpriced. Probably the most expensive we ever had in the whole world... Also the breakfast buffet is large but the quality of food rather mediocre.

The hotel does not match its brand name

I chose this hotel because of its brand, but I was very disappointed. The worst of all was the air conditioning. It simply did not work, and the quilt was thick. The location is quite far away from downtown. It took 15 to 20 minutes to walk to the nearest subway station, and then six stops to go to the downtown. The restaurant that served Chinese food was terrible. When I walked in at around 19:30, there was not a single guest there. Only a table with several people who looked like working at the restaurant eating there. But I must say that the ladies at the front desk and the lobby were extremely helpful. So what went wrong was the top management, not the people working there.

Hotel is great, but the restaurant does not have many chlives for local cuisines. Location is a bit far from the commercial areas and train stations and does not have underground station nearby.

Nice hotel, staff was exceptional

We were very pleased with the hotel, especially the lobby staff. The buffet breakfast was quite nice selections and quality, except for the staff in their, some nice, but a few not too responsive, maybe language barrier. We stayed for a week, on some days, it was under staff. Next door there was a large construction project, at time's could be noisy. The room temp was centrally controlled, way too warm for comfort. We couldn't fall asleep the first night. They had to leave one window slightly opened to air out for us.
