"We arrived late at night. Our room had a loud industrial fan and there was a terrible odor. The door was difficult to open. We took out the industrial fan, the odor was even stronger. A few moments without the industrial fan made me nauseous and dizzy. We had bring the fan back in. We told the front desk person Daniella about our issue. She offered to switch our rooms. We were on our way out. We were there for a wedding and had some errands to run. By the time we came back from our errands, apparently they ran out of rooms and could not move us. There was a different person at the desk and he refused to move us. No one seemed to "know" why there was an industrial fan in the room and what the smell was. We had one more night in this room with the terrible room. Expedia could not help us either. They just kept apologizing and hope my stay will be better. Third day Daniella was at the front desk again and we told her that we didn't get moved and that we were still in the smelly room with the industrial fan. She moved us to a different room. The second room, we were grateful that there was no smell. However. the toilet was not working very well. You had the flush 3 or 4 times before a small piece of toilet paper cleared the toilet. The cabinet door was broken. The shower handle was difficult to turn on. These things are not difficult to fix, however, it was left that way. It is obvious that the up keep of this inn was terrible. Some of the staff are kind and helpful."

"Would not stay there again. They charge to park $15 a night, in a parking lot that is shared by another hotel and two restaurants. There are signs posted all around that state that you are parking at your own risk. There were very limited amenities in the room, no coffee packets one day and then only decaf coffee packets in the room another day. Overall it was not a great stay. Would not recommend."

"What was unique about this hotel was the total disregard the Owners have for its upkeep, staff, amenities and shabby condition it is and has been for years. They should be ashamed that they own it. Two staff members told me that “they were embarrassed to work there.” Everything from the rooms being dirty, bathrooms disgusting, no hot water, breakfast food was totally inedible, the pool was locked up, the staff would yell across the lobby to each other and were dressed like homeless people. Absolutely no security with doors without access card entry open all night. Ceiling tiles above the bar were missing and lying on the bar. Filthy carpets throughout the lobby tha smelled. I’ve travelled around the world and this was the wordy hotel experience I have ever had. If you don’t want to be in the hotel business . Z sell it to someone who does."

"Rodeway Inn Ronkonkoma.Stayed in bldg 3 room 426....Positives: 5 mins from MacArthur airport. Microwave and mini fridge worked. Air-conditioner worked well...but the room was humid. Negatives: Smelled bad, musty... bedding was awful. Sheets too small for the bed and were pilly. Cigarette burns in blanket...I took pics. Carpet threadbare in spots and very dirty. The mattresses were awful. The bathroom needed some bleach taken to it. No water pressure in shower. I realize it's only a 2 star hotel, but at $135 a night I expect a clean room with decent bedding. Very run down . I wanted to leave within 5 minuites of getting the room and i tried getting another hotel but there were none available. Luckily I was only there two nights. I would not recommend."

"I was able to extend my room stay for a couple of hrs more, for a small fee. The Continental bkfst is adequate. I have used Laquinta many times now. And this is my favorite place to lodge while on short business or personal stays!!!"
