Clean rooms and good staff. Upgraded for free for being friendly. The hotel is big and the rooms are spacious. Pool area is nice but it is quiet and uninviting. Needs to be brighter and upgraded with music and lights. Huge gym and restaurant on site.

Disliked: Staff & service
The TV is overly complicated and didn't actually get all the channels it claimed. The toilet in our room was very low and stained, almost as if it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned. The bottom sheet on the bed was too small so was always coming untucked. The last couple days there were bags of trash and linens simply laying in the hall. Staff were never available in a timely manner to help with anything (like the complicated TV.) On the plus side, they did have a fair variety for breakfast. I would never stay here again.

The property is old, the carpets in the hallways were smelly but the room was so clean and fresh, nothing bothered us at all because of how lovely and clean the room was. Fresh, fragrance-free ventilation has become a priority for us. A small problem with our room on arrival was handled with utmost professionalism by the front desk and they immediately switched us to another room without hesitation. Complimentary breakfast was very good with excellent coffee! Overall, we are putting this hotel on our list to come back to, not because it’s perfect, but because the staff were so professional, they knew how to handle weary travellers! Thank you so much!

The only draw back was finding the hotel in the dark. It is situated in behind other buildings. Everything else was great! Clean room, made up everyday. Breakfast was great, large assortment to pick from. Had a pool and hot tub, game room, exersize, laundry, oh a sauna. Well worth the money. No problems with staff.

The Best Western Plus Longbranch hotel in Cedar Rapids is a nice hotel for the price. However, my family and I stayed on the 4th floor and had to take a skywalk to the complimentary breakfast every morning. (A very long walk) The pool, hot tub, and game room is definitely a plus at this property. The water pressure for the showers definitely needs to be increased or the showerheads need to be replaced to improve the water pressure.
