Beautiful spacious suite with lovely hot shower and good towels! Good breakfast served in the lovely courtyard by Matteo who was very kind and attentive - fresh croissant, fruit, muesli, yogurt, toast and great coffee! In a great location just 10 min walk to Via Etnea and the centre. As a solo traveller I felt very safe walking around and loved my brief stay in Catania. Great communication on booking with travel info from Antonio. Also really appreciated the little card with door codes, wifi, contact number which came in very handy when my phone battery died! Thank you Casa Bernero - I would definitely recommend and hope to stay again! 5 *

It is a lovely old house with a leafy garden courtyard area. The bedrooms are modern and very clean and well appointed. The breakfast was good and various. There is a supermarket, small park and excellent coffee shop just around the corner. Not many places to eat. The only downside is that it is far from the old town, about 30 minutes walk. However you can get a bus to the train station.

A very great place to stay, not too far from the town. The rooms and the living area are cosy, a mix between an old building and a recent one. The check-in was interesresting, almost like a escape room, in order to find our way to our rooms. I had three rooms, so we needed to search a little bit, which keys were unlocking which doors, but this is a very small detail in the overall journey. A warthful welcome from the staff on breakfast, I recommend that place.

Vilken oas vi hittade mitt i Catanias bullriga gator. Inte nog med en fin innergård som förde oss långt från en storstad, var rummen väldigt fräscha, och framförallt rena. ( sällan man hittar så här rent ställe). All personal var genuint vänliga och hjälpsamma.

The lady that looked after us was lovely couldn’t done more for us breakfast was good plenty of choice but the facilities wasn’t up to scratch ie poor lighting in the room and shower was inadequate eg shower curtains very old fashioned needed to be updated.saying that the room was clean and tidy

Chic, comfortable and convenient.

The hotel was really lovely. Stylish, comfortable and very quiet despite being in the city. Our host, Antonio, was so kind and went the extra mile to help us. We are going back and would definitely recommend.

A hidden gem. Beautiful, traditional building with lots of lovely art, antiques and interior features in the dining area. We enjoyed a very comfortable stay here. Antonio helpfully arranged transport from the airport. Via Caronda was rather shabby but we never felt unsafe in the area - Via Etnea was just around the corner with buses to the city centre and a useful 24 hour coffee kiosk/bar on the corner of the square. Our room was clean and comfortable with good air-conditioning and a small fridge. The garden was lovely to sit and unwind before heading out to one of the nearby restaurants and to enjoy breakfast. Would stay again.
