I had high hopes for the Sofitel brand, but my recent stay was nothing short of unpleasant. From the moment I stepped into the room, I was greeted by a suffocating musty odor—an overpowering smell of mildew that lingered and made the space feel damp and uninviting.
The room itself was far from clean. There were gnats and moths flying around, creating an unsettling atmosphere. I found dirty hair not only on the floor but also left in the shower, clearly untouched by housekeeping. The beds were deeply uncomfortable and did little to offer rest after a long day of travel.
It’s genuinely shocking to encounter such poor standards from a hotel known for luxury. A thorough overhaul of cleanliness, maintenance, and air quality is long overdue. Until then, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere.
