「Darren at reception was really lovely, the lady who served us breakfast in the morning was very lovely and accommodating. The hotel dog ran up to us barking as we were leaving, which was a bit alarming. The bedroom was simple and clean. Unfortunately the hotel has an awful smell, even in the bedrooms, like damp or mouldy carpets. A bee was in our room, luckily my husband was able to get it out. I appreciate it is an old historic building, but a deep clean and refresh of the carpets might help.」

「The rooms in the pub are underwhelming, noisy, need maintenance (our bathroom had the light and loo roll holder hanging off the wall) and expensive for what you get. Food at the pub is also not great. The staff were friendly and the music good. Probably wouldn’t chose here again or would go in a garden pod.」

「We recently stayed at Penventon Park Hotel while visiting family in Redruth. Although we found parts of Redruth itself to be quite a deprived town, the hotel provided a very pleasant and relaxing stay on the edge of town with great parking available. From the moment we arrived, every member of staff encountered was extremely friendly, polite, and welcoming. 「The hosts were lovely. Clean, safe, comfortable, good common area includes fridge, glasses, plates & cutlery. Delicious breakfasts with a view of the colourful boat harbour. The pub in Mousehole (5 min walk) was good. Parking is a short distance away but make sure you have cell / text service to use the parking app in case the only machine in the lot isn't working as the next lot is 2 miles away! Would stay here again!!!」

「Such a wonderful property, and the rooms are so very clean and comfortable. We slept so well, and were treated quite nicely. Kate is such a lovely host, and her brekkie is top-notch. We enjoyed chatting with her as we ate, and found her delightful and helpful. The farm setting is so peaceful (for us guest that is, a lot of hard work for owners), and the location is great for visiting the Lizard and other places around south Cornwall.
