Spacious and very comfortable rooms in a delightful property. Excellent staff, if a little too formal / deferential at times. Only thing I can score it down for is attention to detail on housekeeping -teapot and cup not cleaned away one day. Stairs and hall carpet needs a vacuum. Would recommend especially for the tranquility.

Our first stay at Leeu estates did not disappoint. We have stayed at several other properties in the area and this one just sneaks to the prime position, as our new favourite. Very peaceful, luxurious, great service, wonderful dining options, fabulous rooms and amenities. Staff were excellent and couldn’t have been more helpful. The grounds are immaculate and the views of the mountains and the surrounding area, really do make for a wonderful backdrop for a peaceful stay. We thoroughly enjoyed looking at all the sculptures around the grounds- fab! It is a little way out of town. So you will need to take the shuttles that run into town at set times. Or pay for a taxi. Their partner hotels in the town itself are very accommodating, should you need to drop by and use their facilities as well. Spa is lovely. And the gym well equipped. The on premise art gallery is worth a visit. And we had a wine tasting included in our stay, which was a nice touch. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Lots of options. And again, service was very on point. We will definitely be back.

Best hotel in Franschoek

One of the most amazing hotels I’ve ever stayed at! The service was top notice and the rooms were enormous. I would definitely recommend staying here when visiting Franschoek. We’ll be coming back.

Beautiful property with inadequate service

While the property was beautiful, the service at the Leeu Estates did not match the hefty price tag—particularly in an area with fierce competition. From a lack of help regarding wineries in the area to pick for touring to an unexplained knock on the door by two service staff to ask if anything was needed at 9:00am in the morning despite a "do not disturb" sign hanging outside, there was much to discuss with the manager—who, to his credit, did handle the situation well and professionally. We only had two nights in the area and wish we had picked a different property, for our time and experience as well as for our wallet.

Perfection!

This estate is absolutely beautiful. We stayed for one night to celebrate part of our honeymoon. The grounds are so beautiful, just perfect. The wine tasting was really good we ended up buying a bottle, too good to pass on it. The service is incredible and they make you feel like at home. I would definitely recommend this place and hope to be back soon.

A Beautiful Retreat

The Estate is a lovely beautiful retreat in Franschhoek. There is not a detail missed by the entire staff. Rooms are restful with beautiful decor. The staff is not only excellent but we’re so very willing to meet all ones needs and make excellent suggestions to enjoy the area.
