Great stay!

We had a great stay at Devonvale. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. My boyfriend enjoyed playing golf at the Estate. I was able to enjoy spa treatments in the room (they do not have a spa on site anymore) as well as an on site gym. The wine estate is not open anymore but they have a great restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. We enjoyed our stay but we surprised that there wasn't a spa or winery anymore. But I would say the staff and comfortable rooms made up for this!

Schöne Zimmer, leider etwss dunkel, aber renoviert (26) und in gepflegten Zustand. Bekamen ein Update mit Zusatzzimmer und zweitem Badezimmer was wir zu zweit aber nicht benötigen. Etwas unfreundlicher Empfang. Frühstück und Abendessen im Clubhaus oder suf der Terrasse. Frühstücksbuffet wurde auf Hinweis ergänzt mit Brot und Käse (war relativ sehr einfach). Ergänzt wird mit Eierspeisen. Schöner, abwechslungsreicher Golfplatz mit freilaufenden Gänsen, Perlhühnern und auch Springbocks. Anna als Pro sehr geschätzt.

Valde boendet då det låg på en golfbana. Kommer nog inte välja det igen, för långt ifrån allt, omständigt köra in o ut genom gaten o varje gång ägna tid åt olika typer av identifiering. Poolområdet, nja, ingen hit direkt. Åt en gång i restaurangen, en av de sämre vi ätit på i Sydafrika nånsin. Kommer nog mest välja guesthouses i fortsättningen.

Schöner Resort umgeben vom Golfplatz. Restaurant mit Balkon auf den Golfplatz. Essen war top und der Service sehr freundlich und herzlich. Leider hat es mit dem Wunsch nach zwei Einzelbetten nicht geklappt (Reinigungs-Personal schon im Feierabend). Wir waren dort für eine Nacht.

Perfect for golf and relax

Nice, clean and comfortable accomodation not far from Stellenbosch. Dull corridors to the rooms but the rooms seemed newly renovated and had everything you need. Breakfast was served in the club house. There were no separate restaurant for lunch and dinner. A well maintained golf course.

The Third time at Devonvale

Perfekt location near Stellenbosch and many wine farms. The golf course was in good condition. The room comfortable. The pool area is nice. We would like to return again!!!

Second stay, lovely hotel

Second stay at Devonvale. Lovely hotel on a Golf Estate & Wine Farm near Stellenbosch. Stayed in an upgraded room which was spacious and came fully equipped with small kitchenette. Lovely grounds with stunning pool, close to many fantastic wine farms and 30 minutes outside Cape Town center. Rooms were air-conditioned, and the breakfast buffet was fantastic too. Only the included WiFi could be improved. Fine for general browsing, but Netflix was blocked and so were VPN connections which made it impossible to connect to my work network. Room tip: ask for a non-joining room on the upper floor.

A pleasant stay

The hotel is very nice, set just outside Stellenbosch. We had a 2 bedroom apartment (not garden flat only balcony) and the bedrooms were very small but the living room was nice. The kitchenette was small but well stocked. The pool was a disappointment - it was very dirty (of bugs) when we arrived - dirtier than I have ever seen a pool to be. The next day it was a bit better but still not clean. A shame really as it was a nice space. Not quite enough loungers by the pool either. Spa was very nice (had a great massage) and breakfast was nice too. Overall a pleasant stay.

Pleasant interlude.

Our stay at Devondale was a good choice. Wish we’d brought our clubs. Good atmosphere, helpful staff, pleasant restaurant. Breakfasts were superb!
