Had a lovely stay. The room was very clean, and the beds are super comfy. Also the pillows were lovely and firm. Would def stay here again. The kingklip at their restaurant was super delicious too.

Room was very clean and check-in was flawless with the front-desk team being very helpful. Room was clean and tasteful. While water was from a water dispenser, I enjoyed the variety of hot, cold still and cold sparkling. Hotel had an interesting recommendation on showering once a day and for two minutes to preserve water, which was a tall ask. The place that needs some work is the restaurant. Waiters were unhelpful and it took me ages to order food and even longer to get the bill. When I requested one of the waiters to retrieve my bill, even though I was seated on a marked table (table 16), and indicated I’d been served by a lady, the waiter, barked at me”which lady?!”, which made me retort that it was not my role to know the names of every waitress at the restaurant (especially if they didn’t have any tags). This was an anticlimax to a rather nice chill evening. Generally I loved the serenity of the location and had an excellent night. I would return but would most likely avoid the restaurant.

I had an 8-night stay at this City Lodge, which I enjoyed to such an extent I wish I could find similar in the other locations around the world I visit for business. While comfortable, smart and clean, there is no superfluous pomp or cost. It had everything I needed, with large rooms with comfortable beds and fitted desk surface for hours of work, good wifi, on-site eating and a restaurant next door. All topped off with friendly helpful staff - it looks like they enjoy working there. Thank you City Lodge Pinelands.

City Lodge blues

The room itself was very comfortable, clean and modern. BUT two things which did not impress me at all: we were on the 1st floor and there was no lift so we had to lug heavy suitcases up the stairs. At the age of 72, that is not a welcome predicament when you have been travelling all day. Then, the window looked out on to a pitched roof.. not far away but right there outside my window. That gave me the impression that booking through Hotels.com does not guarantee a decent room but guests are assinef any old room. AS AN INTERNATIONAL VISITOR I WAS NOT HAPPY. My money and my booking is the same supposedly as anyone els BUT..... Maybe the hotel needs to be reminded.
