"The staff was friendly and helpful. My best friend and I are locals who moved away so it was a little strange to stay in a place I used to work in (Pelican Club). We came to town for a baby shower and had everything we needed. The vanity space being outside of the shower / bathroom space was super helpful for getting ready. We would definitely stay again and look forward to a warm weather visit because the pool area looked fun. "

"I highly recommend a stay at this property! My college daughter and I went for a few days during her Spring Break. She loves victorian style homes and this one was perfect. We loved that they had bikes available to ride during the day. Breakfast each day was delicious, and the Tea and Treats and Wine and Cheese times were so fun."

"I was thoroughly happy with the Chalfonte Hotel (though I actually stayed in the "Southern Quarters," which is next door as a sort of add-on to the original). The accommodations were built in 1876, so of course the rooms are smaller than people are used to now, the hotel doesn't have elevators, and travelers can hear things go bump in the night. The room still had old marble-topped desks! Check-in was easy. The "breakfast room" was pleasant. I was happily surprised to discover that parking (at least in March) was easily available in front of the building. The location in general was great--close to the Cape May downtown, within walking distance, really. Absolutely charming building, built in the Queen Anne style that is usual for Cape May. The building was old--that's part of the appeal--but the interiors didn't seem shabby, and everything was clean. Highly recommended."

"The room was beautiful, first floor had fireplace, coffee maker, the hot tub was big large enough for two full grown adults water was hot, love the duel shower heads in the walk in shower! King size bed was firm. The bed creaked a bit so you have to get use to it but it's very old as antiques so you can be upset it is perfect for the room and the time period!"
