Awesome place. Location isn’t the best if you’re looking for partying. Not slot of visitors. None of the bars were open half the time I was there. But still a very lovely place. The food was kind of overpriced do what you get. The breakfast was good

Staff was great. It is definitely not in the hotel zone. I didnt rent a car and felt stranded. Uber is 20 bucks to go almost anywhere or walk 20 minutes to get to a bus stop.. a little too isolated and no food or groceries nearby.

The internet cur out often in our room. The property needs repairs. The boardwalk had areas closed off for safety reasons. The room was clean. The pool was clean. Staff was attentive and took care of us. Food was good

It was Corky but fun. The room was nice and comfortable. There are things needed to be worked on and It looks like they were working on them. I had good meals in a restaurant. If I want to go back I’d stay there again and the airport was close.

We were on the first floor with the pool outside our door. The pool isn’t heated and it was too cold to go in. The room itself was not cleaned well before we entered. There were brown drip marks on the ground, the sink drain was misplaced, the shower was an open shower and every time we showered the entire bathroom floor would be covered in water, there was splatter marks on the walls, the lamps had broken twine on top, and the lights only worked half the time.

El lugar está increíble.. Mi esposo y yo disfrutamos mucho la estancia. El personal super lindo y atentos, la habitación muy cómoda, nos dieron atención cada que necesitábamos algo (plancha o secadora) .. si tu idea es descansar y relajarte; Akuazul es el lugar indicado!! Definitivamente regresaremos!!

La chambre était très bien et la vue du 2e était bien, grand lit confortable. Le réseau internet n'est pas très bon. Le personnel très gentil sauf le jeune homme de la réception. Les trois piscines sont très bien mais les extérieurs sont en rénovation. Seul Hic, loin des restaurants et autres services.

Everything was perfect and such a great budget find! I loved that it was peaceful and everyone was every kind. It has its own beach which made it an insane find.

The hotel is under construction and many of the amenities are not open. The staff are very hopeful and friendly, but it is disappointing that most of the bars are closed. Also the menu at the restaurant is outrageously expensive, and the free breakfast is pretty pathetic. I would rather be given a reasonably priced menu and just order my breakfast every day.

I travelled solo and stayed for 6 days. I don't know what some of these reviews are aiming for. Yes sometimes there is a smell, but have you not been anywhere else in Mexico? Even the plush reports smell sometimes, a lot of people be pooping in Mexico. It was very mellow and private, not cookie cutter. Safe. Easy to navigate. The "beach" area doesn't bode well for swimming but it is a great and cool boho spot. It's easy to get around to other beaches for swimming. I recommend a swim up room. The beds were comfy, my internet worked fine and my hot water was usually hot. Helpful and delightful staff.

It is on the quiet side, great pools and staff. Perfect and safe for me as a solo traveler. If you are young and looking for the party atmosphere, then you should probably pick a different place.

Akuazul, overall, is a beautiful, clean place. The decor is unbelievably beautiful. Although it is not waterfront, as in you can’t swim bc there is a mangrove between the hotel and the water, the view is amazing. The place is so quiet and serene. The restaurant staff was attentive and friendly and the food was delicious!! Front desk staff was friendly and courteous, helping to book transportation or excursions. The only negative was the need for some renovation. I had read that in the reviews. Nothing is so horrible that it ruined my stay but there are many small things that need to be fixed, repaired or updated. The rooftop pool itself was great but the deck around it needs help. And one suggestion- replace the safety enclosure around the roof top with glass panels. Better for the view as well as blocking the wind- I almost blew away as it was extremely windy my last day. All in all, loved it and would definitely return!!

Rooms are really dated-no place to put your clothes-not enough hangers-food was super expensive -service was Bad. Super slow to get anything -food service was the absolute worst. No Beach you can swim in. Pool up top is falling apart. We were picking up tiles. Road can be noisy trying to sleep. Bathroom counter falling off so my products kept rolling off. Pool was freezing. Our room was next to pool bar and the music was super loud-we had to ask them to turn it down.
