"Delightful Boutique Hotel group (walkable and safe) with several other sister-options throughout the city. I had a delicious meal at Masa, a restaurant in their other hotel called The Major with a rooftop view of the Basilica. Everyone was so helpful and the food at the Cross Hotel was simple but fresh, delicious and affordable. I didn't do the breakfast buffet option but it looked good and again, very reasonable at 10E. Impeccable service and cleanliness. I would stay there again, when in Rome. ;)"

"This is the worst place I have even been. We arrived after hauling our luggage to the far side of the campground at least 6 city blocks. The key worked very poorly and the door was hard to open. Inside this small camper like space was dirty and full of ants , the minute we placed our bags down they became covered by ants . There was urine on the wall behind the toilet. We left without staying even one night we were informed that we would not get a refund but it was bad enough we decided to cut our losses and leave anyway."

"The hotel is in a perfect location - walkable to everything in Trastavere. The staff was super helpful, and the free breakfast was amazing. The hotel itself wasn’t in the best condition. Lots of wear and tear and starting to show its age. It was great to have a balcony, but our bathroom wasn’t super clean. Strangely our room had only two usable outlets - none in the bathroom and none on or near the bed. We had to charge our phones across the room and couldn’t use hair tools in the bathroom. Overall a good experience but not quite what we expected from the pictures."
