"Large bedroom with separate sitting area. Unfortunately, we were unable to use the pool as it was being renovated but it will look great once it’s completed. Breakfast was very good and all staff were friendly and accommodating."

"The good points about the hotel were the breakfast, the staff, who were helpful and the rooms which were for the most part well maintained. We had several very positive interactions with the front desk and on the whole they met our needs. The location is pretty good and there is access to a sandy beach at low tide. Do bear in mind that the hotel is close to the port, so noise can be an issue if you room on the mountain side of the property. The wireless was extremely weak. As this was (partly) a business trip this was a big issue for us. I think this highlights a systemic issue with the hotel. The carpets on the stairs needs replacement, along with the WiFi. Essentially, the hotel needs a bit of a facelift, a refresh if it wants to retain its 4 star status."

"Location, location location. An historic place, located in a peninsula ((guess it was an island before), very close to the beach promenade. Luscious grounds and breathtaking views of the bay. The views from our window were spectacular. Hotel is well kept. Staff is professional and corteous, a little dry on the front desk, but not so at the restaurant and bar, where the staff was always smiling and helpful. Very refreshing. Our room was spacious and well appointed, with gorgeous views. Breakfast was very good. My only suggestion is to have freshly squeezed orange juice, like they have i other Paradores. But if you are considering Baiona, this is the place to stay."
