"The host was chill, friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We paid for the shuttle service which was very convenient. The location is within walking distance from many great sites, including Trafalgar falls. I'd recommend staying for more than 1 night to really enjoy the area. The spa and natural pools in the river where perfectly refreshing. There is no bug net, but the fan did the trick and there weren't many biting bugs around anyway. I'd highly recommend the dinner! The portions are generous!"

"I had an absolutely outstanding experience at Fort Young Hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and taken care of. The hotel perfectly blends historic charm with modern comfort, creating a unique and relaxing atmosphere.
The rooms were spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed, with stunning views that made every morning feel special. The amenities were top-notch, and everything was well-maintained. I especially appreciated the attention to detail throughout the property.
Dining at the hotel was another highlight — the food was fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. The location is also unbeatable, making it easy to explore the surrounding area.
Overall, Fort Young Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and luxurious stay. I can’t wait to come back!"
"This is in a quiet location with breathtaking views of land and sea. Great customer service from the staff - warm, friendly and accommodating. It’s hilly so more suited for those who are mobile and have little to no problem around accessibility. Having said that there are ramps to most areas. The food is very tasty. I am a vegan so ensure they know in advance as Dominica does but factor in vegans very well! However, the catering did accommodate my diet from the first meal enjoyed to the last. I did not get to enjoy the pool due to weather (thunder and lightening) but looked very inviting. The hotel was close to Paradise Valley which was where I was attending an event for a couple of days but also is a great tourist attraction to visit."
"Truly a magical place surrounded by rainforest but easy access right on the main road. I met the owner briefly and she had it built from the ground up to be a serene but fun jungle retreat. I didn’t have dinner there and I left too early for breakfast, but dinner was being served in the open air dining room and it looked fantastic. There is a bar as well. The lighted pathways meander this way and that to secluded rooms. The jungle was alive at night with what sounded like hundreds of birds calling to each other. As I sat on my patio listening to the downpour, I felt as if I was in Paradise. "
"Well staffed and beautiful resort..it has easily accessible amenities nearby and within driving distance. It is a great place for couples, families and individuals to relax and unwind. Great staff, beautiful location, spa treawnt by the river..nature is right at your fingertips best asset!!"
"I arrived in the town and a motorcyclist had been hit and was laying in the street motionless.. the entire town was standing around in the street. i had the place in my navigation and i could not even find it due to all the people blocking the driveways and streets. I also did not feel comfortable walking around looking for it. there was no sign that was visible from my car with all the people in the way. I ended up not staying there due to circumstances beyond my control. the property will not return/credit me my 3 days of payment. I am extremely disapppointed."
