Our stay at this hotel was a mixed and often disappointing experience. Most of the staff were polite and pleasant, but the reception team was not helpful, which set a negative tone from the start. The Wi-Fi was an absolute nightmare and barely worked throughout our stay. Breakfast was just okay. We ended up having eggs most mornings because many of the other items—like the ful medames—were cold by the time we got to them. We also had issues with the food outside of breakfast. On our first night, we ordered koftas, and they arrived completely cold, so we had to throw them away. Then on our third day, we ordered beef fillets, which were also ice cold. We sent them back twice, and both times they brought us the same cold dish again.

Awful Experience at Royal Day Plaza – Not Recomm

Unfortunately, my experience with Royal Day Plaza was extremely disappointing and started off on the worst possible note after a long and exhausting 30-hour journey. We arrived at the hotel around 7 AM, as a family with two young children (ages 3 and 5), hoping to check in and get some much-needed rest. To our shock, the duty manager on site, Mr. Muhammad Rageb, greeted us with an attitude that can only be described as unprofessional and completely lacking in hospitality. From the very beginning, his tone was aggressive and dismissive. Rather than welcoming us, he immediately began insisting that we would be charged extra for our 3-year-old child—something we’ve never encountered in any of our travels. He then told us that we couldn't check in yet unless we paid an early check-in fee. While I understand hotel policies, the way he communicated this was rude and unnecessarily confrontational. I calmly asked, “What is the problem?” and pointed out how exhausted we were after our trip. Instead of offering any empathy or support, he responded arrogantly, saying “I’m the manager and I can do whatever I want.” There is much more to say, simply dont recommend this hotel. You

Great stay!

Great service. The chef made the best omelette and very friendly every morning. Every staff member from reception, to house keeping to the door men were absolutely brilliant. Great restaurant meal options and room service option too, decent pricing. Will definitely come again. Thank you Royal Plaza Hotel.

Cheap and simple

It's very out the way, so make Uber your best friend. The hotel is clean and staff helpful,breakfast food is very limited and same every day. There is no bar,it is a dry hotel(no alcohol). Small shops nearby for essentials but again no alcohol.

This hotel is an oasis in the desert! As a solo female foreigner, I felt safe, protected. The staff was always present. I read former reviews about a poor breakfast, so I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of food offerings plus a made to order egg station was especially nice. I have to say the staff spoiled me! It was clean and just perfect for my needs. I highly recommend this place!

It’s a pleasant surprise to be at RDP Hotel. The staff was super helpful for my midnight check in and helped tremendously to orient me to the facility. Very attentive breakfast staff! Very nice, good hot water and very clean. I do recommend it!
