Overall, we were very satisfied with the hotel and the staff. The location is extremely strategic and convenient — everything you need is just a short walk away. Right next to the hotel there is one of the most popular restaurants in the area, offering tasty and fresh food. Please note that you may need to wait around 30 minutes for a table, as it is very busy. The hotel has an elevator, and the room was nice, clean, and spacious. Housekeeping was done daily. We would definitely stay here again.

Ao chegarmos no hotel fomos informados de um overbooking na nossa reserva. Em nenhum momento fomos previamente informados para nos reorganizarmos. Só não foi pior porque nos ofereceram a possibilidade de ficarmos em outro hotel próximo dali. No dia seguinte, por falta de comunicação entre os hotéis, queríamos que regressássemos novamente ao primeiro com todos nossos pertences. Só quem viaja sabe o quanto é cansativo ficar tirando e colocando os pertences na mala novamente. Resolvemos a situação com o hostel Midtown, onde nossa estadia foi agradável. Porém, não valeu todo o transtorno que passamos…

On first night, they moved us to some other place instead of the hotel we booked because they overbooked. On second night, we came back to castello. After coming back, elevator stopped working on 2nd day and it’s still not working!! We have to go up 7 floors to reach our room in an old building. My parents are old and they can’t climb so many stairs. There is still no solution today after 2 days.

J’ai passé un excellent séjour au Castello Hotel Cairo. L’hôtel est propre. Le personnel est particulièrement accueillant, souriant et toujours prêt à aider, ce qui a vraiment fait la différence tout au long de mon séjour, ( mina / youssef / Mona / Nadia / mohanad / israa / Abdo ) un grand merci à vous. L’emplacement est également un vrai plus ( proche de Place Tahrir & Talaat Harb ) pratique pour se déplacer et découvrir la ville.

This is my second stay in the hotel. It's in the great location, close to all amenities. Friendly and helpful staff. Room is very clean. I can recommend this hotel to anybody, who is looking for a good hotel for a good price.

Here is the translation to English: “We arrived to look for the hotel and found it inside a building. The entrance of the building was dirty, and the elevator was an old metal one. We tried to use the elevator, but it was unavailable. We went up the stairs, which were dirty and narrow. On the first floor, we found dirty doors and unbearable smells. We asked about Castillo and were told it was on the second floor. We went up, and a girl welcomed us. She took us to the first room; we reluctantly agreed to it even though it was small. The second room wasn’t available, and she said she would give us a small room with two beds and not even a window, for one night only, because the guest in the room that was supposed to be ours hadn’t left yet.”“He refused to leave and renewed his stay, even though he was the one who was supposed to take the small room. They couldn’t find any solution for us. We asked to meet the manager; they said he was traveling and refused to let us call him. Then we discovered that he was actually in his office and didn’t speak to us. The area does not feel safe or clean, and the treatment was unprofessional. I do not recommend this place to anyone.”

Sehr sauber, zuvorkommendes Personal und gutes Hotel. Die Zentrale Lage ist sehr gut, aber auch nicht zu laut, die Zimmer sind gut isoliert und lassen keinen Lärm rein. Das Personal war Aufmerksam und freundlich, ist auf meine Wünsche immer gut eingegangen. Das Zimmer war top für das Geld und Frühstück war mit inbegriffen.

The room is as not ready after traveling 24 hours and confirming 48 hours in advance. We had to stay at a hotel four blocks away for the night, then come back to the Castello the following morning. The room was not cleaned daily and the beds not made. Staff was very inexperienced with customer service. The toilet broke twice and the shower would not drain. The room was overall dirty when we checked in.

Good enough.

Actually when i went to Cairo, I didn't care about the luxury of hotels. But it wasn't a summer vacation obviously. I would just mind my time in places. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. But the rooms are exceptionally small. Of course i am told there are bigger rooms. But mine was really small. There is enough place to move around and take shower. And when i went there they couldn't see my reservation. But interestingly the personel didn't want to see my payment information. He just took my word. Infact the personnel tried hard not to see my payment infos. That was interesting. The rooms are clean and the bed was comfortable. I only have 1 breakfast there and it was good. I can't say perfect time but not bad also.
