Very relaxing getaway. We come here every year for our anniversary as the village feel in Palm Cove is fantastic. The resort amenities are sensational especially the pools and rooms. Staff are always friendly and courteous. Over the years we have noticed the pool area and decking is aging though and could use some rejuvenation.

The room was of good size with a nice balcony on the second floor outlooking to the water. There is no lift, so carting bags up and down the staircase was a little heavy going. We also had a balcony spa. Unfortunately, we enjoyed the spa the first evening and it remained uncleaned for the duration of our 4 night stay with a dark brown ring from the water. There was a scourer and cleaning liquid provided inside. The towels were amazing and the bed was very comfortable, with room service each day. There was no bottled water in the room, but a nice water cooler at reception to use with a paper cup. The room's floor was a little dusty around the edges. The staff were very friendly and most helpful. We purchased the buffet breakfast at Peppers the first morning, which was delicious. The main beach pool was amazing, clean and warm. Beach towels were provided. We had drinks and nachos at the "swim up to" seats in the pool. Very nice. We really enjoyed our stay and maybe next time we will have a room with one of the private pools. We also enjoyed a lovely massage during our stay.

I was a bit concerned about this property because of some of the reviews. It's true that the property is a little tired but the price reflects this, things they can control they do very well like the staff and service from the front desk to the the room attendants they are all amazing. The beds are comfortable the linen and towels are quality, the parking is free, the rooms are very clean, the breakfast is fresh and offers an excellent variety. Yes you can struggle to get a pool lounge, find me a resort where this doesn't happen? The location is the best and I would absolutely, hands down, stay again. And just for some perspective, I'm fussy with cleanliness, linen & beds so these were 10/10. Couldn't give a 5 star because the property is a little tired but again the price reflects this.

This was our first family Holiday with our 11 month old and it was perfect. The pool is fantastic, he could crawl & swim with us. Also enough room to have him nap in his pram by the beds, we could enjoy a cocktail in peace. There is a park across the road, good dining options to walk too. The apartment was huge, all furnishings modern and nice but you could tell it was all a little dated underneath but all that you need. We loved our stay here.

Great location - just not the luxury expected

We recently stayed 4 nights. PROS - Loved Palm Cove and the location. Nice bath towels. Trying really hard to think of other things we liked … CONS - I had higher expectations for the price and ratings. Hotel is more 3-4 star family friendly beach hotel - rather than luxury Romantic stay (which is what we had hoped) The place bit tired and worn - including bed, linen, bathroom, shutters etc Rooms were really noisey and lots of families and kids (even outside of school holidays) One picky thing - I wanted to get some clothes laundered and they don’t have laundry/dry cleaning.

The property is located just opposite the beach with life guards so very easy access to a safe beach. There are plenty of places to eat around. The breakfast options were mostly same everyday so could get a bit repetitive if staying for longer periods. Just be aware that there are no lifts in any of the buildings. So be ready to hike up to 3 levels. We loved our stay there with an easy drive to Cairns but not too far from Port Douglas or other beaches and tourist attractions. My negatives for the property were that the extra beds were not set up even though I had requested the rooms to be ready when we arrive (reaching at 10 pm). We had 4 apartments and the Aircon was on in a couple but the remaining 2 were sweltering hot and took ages to cool down.
