It’s a good location. An easy walk to the jetty area. Our bed was very comfortable and there was lots of hot water. There are no staff on site but entry was hassle free. Good parking on site.

The room was nice and close to dining options. But the air con in our room was not working and I had to call to get our PIN numbers when we should have been sent an email with this info. The old key safe should have also been removed to not cause confusion re which one to use.

We enjoyed our stay, and everything was as per the advert. The only issue we had was that we had no email telling us how to enter the property, because we arrived early the house keeper was there and gave us the codes to get into the hotel and room. Others have also complained about not receiving the email with entrance details so one would have thought that would have been sorted! Apart from that the Observatory Guesthouse is a lovely place to stay, very convenient to Busselton and the breakfast was fresh and good.

Busselton Escape

I was very happy with our room. Very clean and comfortable and the style was perfect for the area. The location was walking distance to all the main restaurants and hotels in the foreshore area.

Fabulous place only 5 large rooms. Great little airy breakfast dining room which was self serve & included in the price with coffee machines, cereal, toast, crumpets, various coffees, youlghurt, juice & fruit! Lovely way to start the day & 5 mins walk to the amazing Busselton jetty! 😁 would definitely stay again.

Great location and decent place to stay for a few nights. Biggest problem which needs to be addressed urgently is the lazy and un- secure approach to the codes assigned to the digital keypads that unlock the doors. All had the same first 3 digits with main entrance ending in zero, unit 1 ending in 1, unit 2 ending in 2 etc.

Ok..

Quite nice. The balcony area upstairs is nice to sit for a drink. The location is really good, close to both the town/ restaurants/ shops as well as the beach. The room we had was really small and unfortunately the drinking glasses in the room were dirty so we needed to wash them before use. Breakfast was supplied which is always a bonus. Its very close to neighbours and across the road to the camp ground so a bit noisy.

I haven’t received the check in details at the time I arrived the property, and it is around 8pm and there is no staff staying there. My phone is not able to,call the property staff to ask for the check in so we knocked the door of one guest room and ask the guest helped us calling to the staff. Luckily we got a friendly guest and reached the staff via phone and finally our check in is success. Otherwise we can’t imagine where we can stay at that night. Btw the room is good, well decorated…

When I checked in late in the evening, someone else was in the room, giving us both a terrible fright. Had to call the afterhours number then knock back on the door again to check what name the other people were booked under. They were in the wrong room. Unsure how this happened as I had the correct door code, was told perhaps the cleaner let them in. It was very embarrassing for me even though I had not done anything wrong. I ended up taking the room they should have had, but felt quite unsettled the whole night as I was worried someone might barge in on me! Breakfast was very basic and the room was cramped without any space between the tables. Of course the people I'd walked in on last night came down at the same time and I was too mortified to stay for breakfast with them sitting right next to me. The property is lovely and the room was pleasant and clean, but it was not a very nice experience I'm sorry to say. The manager person was apologetic but there was no offer of compensation for the mistake, which would have been appreciated.

Super close to the beach. Easy few minutes walk. Room was comfortable although you could hear other guests and stairs to rooms upstairs were very steep. Easy parking out the back. The breakfast consisted of cereals, bread, yoghurt, fruit and a coffee machine that made really good coffee. Would happily stay here again for a short stay.
