Cafe Vlissinghe, established in 1515, is the oldest cafe in Bruges. With a lovely outdoor and indoor seating area, this is the perfect place to enjoy a Belgian beer. The remote cafe is hidden in the Sint-Anna district. 

A boules tournament was in full swing in the garden when we visited. Boules is similar to bocce balls where large, heavy balls are rolled to land as close to a small target as possible. 

The Knights of the Golden Fleece used to meet in this cozy tavern.
