Such a charming hotel! The room was immaculate, with a super comfortable bed and pillows. The free breakfast was yummy with lots of options. The staff was incredibly friendly. I would recommend this establishment to anyone traveling to Bruges, and would love go back.
The staff was very friendly and eager to please. The breakfast was great. The location was very walkable to all attractions, but was nice and quiet along the river with a relaxing, peaceful garden to enjoy a drink and watch the ducks swim by.

Great Hotel Location
A great presonal hotel in an ideal location to everything in the centre of Brugge. It was warm the time we visited however there is a fan in the room that helped.

Fabulous location. Great breakfast. Lovely helpful staff. Beautiful old building
Lovely hotel with friendly welcoming staff and an excellent location near to the town centre .
The room was clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was a continental buffet with a good choice of cereals, boiled eggs , cold meats and bread .
Unlimited hot drinks during the day until 10pm from the dining area was a bonus as well .
The lovely place makes us feel like home. The cozy homelike warm environment creates a feeling of wanted to be there the entire time. The peaceful and relaxing view to the canal was excepcional, not without mention the kindness and care of the staff with many details during our stay.
Very nice and cosy hotel. Excellent situated in Bruges old town. Walking distance to everything.
Great breakfast. Hotel parking available uppn request.
Our stay at the Monsieur Ernest was great. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. The receptionist's recommendations for places to eat were excellent. We would stay here again.
Very distinctive building with very original rooms. Love the quiet neighborhood. Staff was above and beyond. The outdoor dining area by the canal was very peaceful and added a nice touch. Thank you guys for a great stay!
Quick 24hour trip to Bruges for the Xmas markets. Great location, staff are very friendly. Eva was a massive help with regards to recommendations and making us feel very welcomed.
Amazing property - right on a canal and original interior. If you want to stay in Bruges I recommend this hotel - very friendly staff, clean rooms, authentic Bruges style. If you’re looking for modernity - try somewhere else. If history is your thing - you’ll love this place
Smooth and helpful check-in. Nice breakfast and canal view from the dining room. 10-15 minute walk from the train station. 5 minutes to the town square.

Overall, a very cosy stay. It's a family run hotel and the staff we did meet were very friendly. The location is very convenient too.
A couple of downsides are involving the room, it could get incredibly warm even with the radiator turned down and the pillows weren't very comfortable. It would also be nice if they had tea and coffee maki facilities too.
Lovely boutique hotel, very stylish, very welcoming
One negative…. No air conditioning during a heatwave but will still go back !
Romantic little garden for a cocktail

Very thin walls, otherwise ok
Basic nice hotel with the nice view and location.
Walls are very thin though. You can hear everything, including the alarm of your room neighbor which they did not turn off fand it was ringing for many minuts and waking us up too. Also we could hear them having sex at 4.00 am..
Don't expect much from the breakfast- it does not have fresh fruits, mostly bread and cheese.

Great location and the comfiest of beds! Our room was basic, no tea/coffee or fridge etc but that was fine for us, there was water though. Like others have said, there are areas that are in need of some tidying up but none of it would affect your stay. Breakfast was great, i wasn't expecting much after reading some reviews but it was all fresh and plentiful. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay, we were just there for a night so maybe I'd prefer more room facilities if i was to stay longer.
Minimalist rooms done nicely, in a great quiet location on the West side near the train station. The canal view was as promised, but be careful of mosquitos sneaking into the room. An extra plus for the breakfast, though I did wish there was tea and coffee for the rooms.
Two minor minuses - There was an issue with hot water, but this was sorted out and I was able to check out later because of it; One of the glasses wasn't clean (with leftover lipstick), but there were plenty of other clean looking glasses available.
I'd happily stay again.
We loved this place. Staff were amazing. Chatty and informative and helpful. We asked for a kettle and it was done no problem at.
The view was amazing... it was of the canal and we spent time watching the water birds and really enjoyed the kingfisher.
The walk into town centre was easy and quick.
Breakfast was continental and tasty ... with wonderful fresh bakes each day .. scrummy !!
Unfortunately when i checked my coat i found id forgotten to hand in the key... so i guess i will just have to go back and return it ... oh damn !! Lol
