Originally built in the 12th century as the chapel of the residence of the Count of Flanders, the church houses a venerated relic of the Holy Blood allegedly collected by Joseph of Arimathea and brought from the Holy Land by Thierry of Alsace, Count of Flanders. Built between 1134 and 1157, it was promoted to minor basilica in 1923. The 12th-century basilica is located in the Burg square and consists of a lower and upper chapel. Perfect stay. Very convenient location, but also very quiet. Large clean rooms that have such a unique touch to them. Breakfast is a treat - fresh home made food, fresh juices, fruit salad is presented to an outstanding level. Hosts are exceptionally helpful. Would definitely stay again.

This B&B was top notch! The rooms were all beautiful, big and spacious! Bathrooms were huge. The breakfast every morning was 5 Stars and the couple that owned it were so sweet and truly wanted to make our stay perfect! Also, the espresso, cappuccino, tea & hot cocoa were all available 24/7 in the foyer at stairs. It was a romantic Paris vibe and in the perfect location( cobble stone street and only 10 minute walk to center.

Great accommodations-great host.

Spent two days in Bruge with Agna and her husband in late April. Very gracious hosts, five minutes walk from the center of town AND a great breakfast. The accommodations were brilliant.

One of the best hotels I have stayed in my life! Breakfast was perfect, everything delicious and made with love. Agna is so sweet and she and her husband were amazing hosts. The property is beautiful and breakfast was wonderful. They have filtered water and a state-of-the art espresso machine (and tea) available 24/7. The B&B is very conveniently located near a bus stop to get to and from the train station and they are very close to the town center.

Fantastic stay 3 nights, cannot say enough about the property, you will love it. Friendly and helpful we're Agna and her husband, nothing and i mean nothing was missed in helping us enjoy our stay. Lovely room, we selected the romantic suite, spacious and a bathroom my wife thought unbelievable. Jack & Jill sinks as well! Breakfast is a feast, 5 star standard. You will not be disappointed.

B&B Mirabel Guesthouse was the perfect stay for us. Agnes was the best host—attentive, available, and kind. The sweetest person you will ever meet. She and her husband served a wonderful and delicious breakfast each morning. The property couldn’t have been better either. Close to the main sites of Brugge yet quiet and out of the way of tourist traffic. Large rooms with lots of charm, clean, and neat as a pin. Could not rate this stay any higher. Five stars!

This is a great place to stay! Close to everything, great shopping and restaurants. The hosts are outstanding people! Very attentive and knowledgeable and generous with their time. Our hostess went out of her way to accommodate us, informing us of the most important things to see and do in Bruges. Inside was equally impressive: a beautifully preserved old building, lovingly restored. Our spacious room on the 2nd floor was perfect: a charming blend of the ancient and the contemporary. Breakfasts, finally, were superb. This place is just enough off the beaten track to be quiet and comforting--yet it's only a 5-minute walk to the center of town. We loved it here.

The best b&b!

We had the most amazing stay on our recent trip to Bruges. The b&b is absolutely beautiful, with stunning floral designs throughout. The room was so big and comfortable with beautiful decor and a huge bathroom. Throughout our entire stay Agna and her husband were such incredible hosts. They are so sweet and make such a delicious breakfast and fresh squeezed juice! When we checked in, Agna provided us with guidebooks and maps and provided us with recommendations and an overview of the city as well as events happening. Overall we had a fantastic stay and hope to come visit again one day.

Best decision you will ever make!

I have never experienced a more welcoming host or stay. Anja was born to host. From the moment we were welcomed in until the moment we left everything was top notch. The decor, the rooms, the finishing touches, everything is perfect. The breakfast is absolutely incredible. You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay here. It was our favorite part of our visit to Bruges! From helping us to feel comfortable in our rooms, to booking our taxi when we left, to assisting us with things to do in town, Anja helps with it all! If we come back we will definitely be staying here again!

We absolutely loved staying at this property. The room was spacious, and beautifully decorated with a large en suite bathroom. The beds were very comfortable. The room had double windows so it was incredibly quiet while still being well situated for sightseeing, shopping, and dining as well close to transportation. Everything was beautifully kept and clean. However, the best part was our hosts who were incredibly friendly and helpful. We chose our breakfasts the night before and there were many, many options to choose from, and Agnes was so helpful in preparing special food for my gluten and dairy allergy. The fruit plate to begin with was incredible and everything else was very tasty and always beautifully presented. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone.

Amazing guest house

This was an amazing find that I will recommend to all my friends. We had a suite which consisted of a very large room with king size bed and an additional single bedroom. The furnishings were beautiful, beds very comfortable and bathroom was large and spotless. Lovely toiletries and a nespresso maker in room. Downstairs provided unlimited fresh coffee from a machine and unlimited water and teas. The guest house has a lift which we were not expecting. Breakfast was amazing with a huge choice of options including pastries, fruits, yogurt home made granola, eggs as you wanted them freshly cooked and a daily special we had lemon ice cream one day a feather light waffles the next. Agna makes all her own juices which are delicious too and was the perfect host with a lovely welcome and on hand to advise where to visit and ensure all was well with our stay.

Amazing. Lots of words follow to say book this place right now. Agna the host is wonderful, the property is spotless, close to everything, historic and freshly done. There's an elevator, so if you can choose the third floor for the views of the rooftops of Bruges. The breakfasts are wonderful and filling, you make your choices and there is plenty to choose from. The room (33) was excellent. Large, two windows overlooking the neighborhood. The bathroom is stunning, clean and crisp and huge with tub and shower. There is a coffee and tea station on the ground floor that has great choices. This was a two day stay after days in Paris and following on to Amsterdam. Great city, great people, beautiful all around. Again, don't hesitate. Just book. And thank Agna again for me, she is a treasure.
