「Great place to stay. The staff were really friendly, the room was bright, spacious, super clean and all the amenities needed for an overnight stay. We ate dinner and breakfast both meal times provided a great choice and tasted great. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for somewhere to stay in the area」

「The approach to the hotel is stunning—neat, tidy, and very impressive. From the moment we arrived, we received a warm welcome from reception, with staff who were both friendly and informative. 「Absolutely delightful hotel. Me and a friend booked a room each for the Hay Festival, and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The staff were wonderful; helpful, friendly, even showed us to our rooms. The location was great, not too far away but far enough that I’d was quiet and tranquil. The breakfast is well worth the money, as is the Old Barn pub across the road, where we ate that night. A fantastic stay, I can’t wait to return with my husband next time.」

「Staff were brilliant, rooms have been let go from a maintenance point of view. Food was tasty but very over priced, especially the breakfast. Would have made a complaint if I’d had to pay £18 for that had it not been included with the nights stay. Drinks reasonably priced though.」

「Easy parking for a few cars, The Castle Hotel is a good place to stop in the area. The staff were very helpful and the check in and out was very easy but the rooms and amenities would benefit from a bit of maintenance and a deep clean.」

「Wagon was in a lovely location on a farm and owner was very nice, once I managed to find the farm , but checking in time or instructions would have been helpful . Bed was comfortable and I did appreciate the tea, sugar and milk provided , but the room itself was quite cold -with one tiny inadequate heater . Bathroom was also very cold and smelled very damp and unfortunately the toilet seat was loose and shooting off to one side. 」

「We found 7 Bell Street perfect and as good as the photos. Very well equipped and tastefully decorated. Comfortable beds, and seating. Plenty of books magazines, information leaflets. Kitchen essentials Fresh milk marmalade and much more. Our hosts very helpful and welcoming. 」

「We had a fantastic stay at the butchers arms. They were very friendly and helpful. We had a problem with another hotel and Andrew and his team couldn’t do enough for us. What a lovely place to stay.
