While you are about 20 mins outside of Chania it served as a good base for all of the western beaches and attractions while still close enough to Chania for dinners and exploring. On top of that Erato was super hospitable and responsive to our needs - highly recommended!"

"The hotel has a very nice pool. The rooms are a nice size. It's about a 15 minute walk down hill to the sea. The staff was very pleasant. Breakfast was advertised but we never did see anyone or any food at the designated breakfast spot"

The noise carries from hallway and rooms close by. People coming home at 1am and noise waking us up every night. Service and breakfast was great and outline of hotel is lovely. For the price we paid, it should be next to perfect all around."

"The staff are super friendly tip top service we had a sea view room with hot tub was superb,the breakfast options are great dinner options was ok not all the food was to my taste but it was still good with great entertainment and service at dinner. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel great beach to relax or go into the water 10/10"

"Cosy, comfortable room of good size. Bathroom worked fine and was spotlessly clean. Staff communicated before and during stay, they offered room cleaning each day and they helped us get laundry done. Small kitchenette worked fine and Wifi worked throughout stay. Pool was clean and well-maintained with shared toys available for children. Located close to bus stop, 15-minute walk from beach and 5 minutes from local taverna. Good value. We would stay again."

"Very poor English skills and absolute zero knowledge of other languages can be challenging for guests who do not speak English. The pool is miniature, shallow, and there is a huge lack of order regarding sunbed reservation (be prepared that some jerk will simply throw away your towels and lie on your sunbed while you are in the restroom or getting a drink, and the staff won't do anything about it). The animation program is also very poor. The food is repetitive, but you won't stay hungry. Local drinks are terrible, juices are overly sweet, and you won't see a lemon even in traces. You cannot get a fresh lemonade even for money. The guy who drives the golf cart to the beach (better known as Habibi) is an absolute gem of a man. The rooms are clean, and the maid comes every day. You only get water upon arrival; later you have to buy it. Sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach are charged. Realistically, I would barely give this hotel three stars."
