This is the best property we have stayed at in a long time. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable. Mary and the rest of the staff were so friendly and helpful. Included breakfast was delicious. The Topside Inn was the perfect place for our stay in Boothbay Harbor. The Carraige House room was very nice and the bed and bedding was amazing! The views of the harbor are spectacular, especially in the quiet of the early morning. However, the star of the show was the incredible breakfast we had each morning! I highly recommend this Inn to anyone traveling to the Boothbay region.

As per its name, the hilltop overlooks a classic New England bay with small boats at anchor. And the property takes full advantage of it with lots of porch and lawn seating. It's a lovely place with a lovely vibe and excellent breakfast.

We stayed at Topside for one evening on our way down thru Maine. I can’t say enough wonderful things about it, starting with our welcome greeting from the lovely Rebekah, welcome cocktail, view of the harbor, 3 minute walk to town, lovely rooms, happy hour snacks, easy to meet neighbors….. I will be making many trips back to Boothbay just to stay here again!!!

Topside Inn had an amazing view of the harbor while sitting in the Adirondack chairs. The bar set up was terrific with their free welcome drink. Food service was excellent and the blankets outside on the balcony was a great touch. Would come back for an extended stay. Highly recommended.

This hotel was a great joy. The room was clean and bright with windows and doors and balcony to look over flower beds and chickens to the harbor beyond. Drinks and snacks were readily available and delicious. The staff were warm and helpful, breakfast excellent, seating areas and open air feel relaxing and inviting. My only regret was that I had to go home!

This is a great property with friendly, attentive staff. The walk downhill to town and the harbor is short and the view from our room was awesome! Breakfast was delicious and included multiple choices. The only caveat would be for those with limited mobility because there is no elevator to reach the rooms upstairs. For those people I would suggest ground floor.
