The staff were incredible. There was a slight problem with the water (it wasn’t their fault) and they were quick to find a solution for my wife & I. The location was peaceful and quiet which we loved! We’ve been to a couple hotels in Bacalar, but this is definitely our new favorite! We will be back!

We had an amazing stay at Boca de Agua. Caesar, the activities guide, was incredible. After booking the sunrise kayak tour with him on our first day, we booked a different activity with him every day.

We decided to extend our stay for one more night. The hotel’s architecture is breathtaking—a true masterpiece that seamlessly blends luxury, comfort, and the immersive experience of living in the jungle. We especially enjoyed the breakfast menu, which features a rich variety of flavors and local ingredients. Every detail in the room design and amenities reflects thoughtful craftsmanship and is perfectly integrated into the overall aesthetic. The elevated walkway leading to the lagoon is an incredible idea, allowing access while preserving the ecosystem and minimizing disturbance to the local flora and fauna. The hotel also has a private dock that connects directly to the lagoon. We loved how secluded it felt—it offers a peaceful space to swim, sunbathe, and relax. There's even a shaded area by the water where you can retreat from the sun and unwind in comfort.

Definitly a great stay!

A unique stay in Bacalar, definitely worth it. Away from the town, nestled in the serene jungle without distractions and crystal clear water down at the lagoon. We took a tour from Bacalar itself on a sailboat, however nice it was we’d probably choose to just stay at the hotel next time - the grounds really are that beautiful. Good to know that wifi is a bit unstable (we hade some issues when trying to pay our taxidriver).

Pros: Staff were very nice and helpful whenever asked. All employees went out of their way to assist us. The lagoon area was picturesque and serene. Food was generally good. Cons: Hotel is very expensive by local standards (equivalent or better hotels in the area are less than half the cost). Getting to the hotel requires a long drive from the highway on a poorly paved road and any transportation in or out of the hotel to the nearest town was $500 MXN each way so you were somewhat stranded at the resort. Food options at the resort were very expensive compared to local restaurants. No fitness center. Summary: Pretty hotel with good service but very overpriced (both for the room and for any food purchased) and isolated (expensive to leave the resort).

El lugar es muy bonito y la laguna es verdaderamente divina. Sin embargo, el servicio deja mucho que desear. Reservamos con anticipación el traslado al aeropuerto y, un día antes de nuestra llegada, confirmamos si todo estaba listo; para nuestra sorpresa, no tenían registro de nuestra llegada. Además, nos cobraron el servicio de pickup como si fuera en camioneta, pero pasaron por nosotros en un taxi. En el área de la laguna hay muy pocos camastros. Al notar que los de la alberca estaban vacíos, solicitamos si podíamos utilizarlos y nos lo negaron. El servicio de alimentos en la laguna también fue muy deficiente; en una ocasión esperamos hasta dos horas por una cerveza. Al finalizar nuestra estancia, detectamos cargos incorrectos: nos cobraron alimentos más IVA, cuando en el menú se especifica claramente que los precios ya lo incluyen. Asimismo, el tour que contratamos con ellos tuvo un sobrecargo de $2,000 pesos adicionales a lo que previamente nos habían informado. Intentamos aclararlo vía WhatsApp, pero nunca recibimos respuesta. Es un lugar muy lindo, pero está lejos de ofrecer el nivel de servicio que justificaría una Llave Michelin.

Séjour incroyable dans la jungle au bord de la si belle lagune de Bacalar. Le personnel est adorable et les villas au top ! Nous recommandons vraiment cet hôtel si vous souhaitez un séjour luxueux au cœur de la nature.

La transportacion es un reto. La comida esta buena, pero No para recomendación Michelin. Alguno de los meseros No tenian pleno conocimiento del menú. El precio del tour en velero ( proveedor externo ) de 3 horas no corresponde al servicio ofrecido: 325 dlls mas 55 dlls ida y vuelta al centro de Bacalar, y el velero No ofrecía servicio de baño.

Improvisación en su máxima expresión. Aqui pareciera que nadie está a cargo del hotel. Cero servicio, no son capaces ni de poner toallas secas en la piscina! Hacen el aseo de la habitación hasta donde le alcanza la mano a la persona que supuestamente cumple esa tarea. Un muy buen destino en un pésimo hotel, caro, mal atendido, deteriorado y sucio.Lo más básico aquí no funciona y nadie parece darse cuenta

Disfrutamos mucho nuestra estancia para celebrar nuestro aniversario. Se une a la lista de mis hoteles favoritos en México, increíble la arquitectura del hotel y cómo se integra orgánicamente con la selva. En comparación con otros hoeteles similares dónde me he hospedado, me gustó que aquí se experimenta la libertad y la conexión con la naturleza sin sacrificar el lujo, el confort y la estética. Esto lo hace único. Se encuentra dentro de la selva por lo que es un paraíso si buscas tranquilidad y/o descanso. Aunque en un principio tenía dudas porque se ubica en Xul-Ha y no en el centro de Bacalar, las preocupaciones si disiparon al llegar. Considero que esta es verdadermamnete la parte más hermosa de la laguna, el agua es cristalina y está completamente libre de embarcaciones y ruido. Tuvimos la laguna prácticamente para nostros solos. Sin dudarlo regresaría.
