"The staff throughout the hotel and restaurant were fantastic, all very helpful and friendly. The hotel rooms are great and quiet and the restaurant has excellent local food options, it also seemed popular with locals. Breakfast was great and the free coffee in reception a good start to the day. The hotel is perfectly situated 10minute bus ride away from Thun and with the Visitors Panorama card this is a free journey. We stayed 3 nights and hope to return soon."

"Lovely Stay on the lake front with private dock for swimming and lounge chairs and hammocks for relaxing. Great views from the balcony. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. There are a number of free parking spots right in front of the hotel first come first served. Tip: arrive early to get one. Bus #21 runs up and down the lake from Thun to Interlaken with a stop 100ft away. Bus fare is free to guests staying in hotels in the area. Beautiful time in Thun."

"The hotel location is excellent. We parked close by and this was validated by the hotel. The hotel is a short walk to the lake and is highly recommended for an amazing view. Hotel staff were extremely helpful and the hotel restaurant was superb. Tex-Mex - wasn’t expecting it to be as good as it was. Couple of negatives - we travelled during the summer months and the room didn’t have aircon. It was uncomfortably hot. The room had a fan but we all struggled to sleep during the nights we stayed. Bit of a shame and very tiring. The other negative and probably not a hotel issue. Accommodation tax!! Horrible…you budget for your stay and then an additional charge is incurred during check-in. Should either be included upfront of hotel booking or not charged at all."

"The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful on our check in and check out. We stayed in the junior suite which was a lovely space with character including exposed lovely wooden beams over 100 years old and decorated with wonderful sketches and tasteful suitcases in the stairways. The space is economically and efficiently used with very little waste. The rain shower always makes me happy and the air conditioning was a must have in the hot summer evening. An elevator led us to a second floor and then stairs up to our room adjacent from one other room in this boutique hotel of only 15 individually designed rooms which makes for a quiet and private stay. We didn’t have a chance to try the restaurant which was highly rated. The buffet was included and adequate for our needs. There is a grocery store directly adjacent as well as a gym if you are willing to pay a drop in fee. The old historical streets are less than a ten minute walk away with plenty of restaurants to choose from along the promenade. If you fancy a dip in the river you can join many others enjoying themselves jumping and diving in during the hot July evenings. There was even a large Ferris wheel and live rock band the night we were out. Very entertaining! I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a nice change of pace from Zurich."
